Surprise! She seems to be here early, (June 10). My daisies have just opened, and the monarch was fluttering all over, seemingly scouting the area, but with no particular place to go.

She did not alight on the 2 ft high milkweeds, which have no flowers yet. She just fluttered over our lawn and gardens for 10 mins, & then moved on.
