First monarch of the year spotted about 4 pm in my front yard large bed. Monarch fed on several Purple Milkweed flowers. Wings intact, suspect had recently emerged, found no frayed wing edges or holes, and a strong flier. Was seen again later @5:10 pm. She would also visit the blooms of Butterfly weed near the front sidewalk on and off.
