A single Monarch visited my backyard showy milkweed patch which was in full bloom. It flew around enjoying the nectar for about 30 minutes, ignoring all the other flowers in the pollinator garden. It didn’t seem to be landing on the leaves, but was very interested in the flowers.
Later that day I checked every leaf for eggs but found none.
It was a real JOY to see it and I thoroughly enjoyed its long, fluttery show!
