Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/01/2025

Number: 12

I have had adult monarchs and caterpillars. I am rearing the caterpillars in a habitat and then releasing them as butterflies.
I lost one caterpillar and one monarch emerged with disabled back wings, but it was still able to fly and I’ve been seeing it around on my butterfly bush.
Also, I learned this year that the caterpillars will eat the milkweed flour buds earlier in the season.
I thought this was pretty cool and had no idea they did this.
