I saw, from my window, two monarch butterflies flying around together. I assume they were engaging in mating behavior. When I went outside to get a better look, I only saw this male. He was repeatedly nectaring on the bee balm (shown). Then it started to sprinkle (rain). The current temperature is 77 degrees F and the sky is overcast. We have Canadian wildfire smoke in the air, lowering the air quality. I’m glad to see the monarchs here despite that!
