Milkweeds
in the Bellefonte Community Children’s Garden

Our second stop on our 2025 Blitz search for milkweeds was at the Bellefonte Community Children’s Garden.  While there were no butterflies present while we were there, we did find a few Butterfly Weed and several Common Milkweed plants in various areas of the garden.  There was also a variety of annual and perennial flowers that could serve as sources of nectar and pollen for any insect that chose to visit.  (And definitely a lot of tomato plants.)

At about Noon the air temperature was 75°F, the dew point was 57°F, the humidity was 53%, there was a light 7 mph breeze coming from the South under fair skies, and the air pressure was 28.91 inches and slowly dropping.
