Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 08/26/2025

Number: 1

It may not be the same bird that has roosted in my front yard holly for the last 2 Augusts, but it is following the same pattern of guarding the tree and the two feeders. I've never seen a hummer spend so much time sitting in the tree! He's resting and plumping up for the big migration, I guess. Can't get a picture. He flies away when I approach the tree from outside. From my bedroom, I can't get a clear shot. He's picked the perfect camouflaged branch!
