2 monarchs in common hackberry (Celtis occidentalis), approximately 9 meters above ground level. Monarchs are roosting on different branches of tree on the Southwest side. One monarch still spreading wings in fading sunlight. 2nd monarch has wings closed.

Adjacent to Henslow Trail, near Iron Bridge Trailhead, Iron Bridge Prairie Restoration, Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (U.S. Forest Service). Early for peak migration.
