2 monarchs roosting on separate branches near one another in common hackberry (Celtis occidentalis), approximately 7 meters above ground level on side of tree facing southwest. This is the downwind side of tree. Other monarchs flying, exploring the tree, including stopping by monarchs already roosting, but depart toward the west.

Wind from northeast at 5 mph. 69 degrees Fahrenheit (20.56 Celsius). RH 69%. Sunset scheduled for 1928 hours.

Adjacent to Henslow Trail, near Iron Bridge Trailhead, Iron Bridge Prairie Restoration, Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (U.S. Forest Service). Early for peak migration
