2 monarchs were flying then landed on same branch in common hackberry (Celtis occidentalis) 5 meters above ground on the southwest side of tree. The tree is adjacent to a roost with 1 monarch. There is a lot of monarchs flying, searching for a roost.

72 degrees Fahrenheit (22.22 C). Only slight breezes from Northeast at 5 mph. RH 58%. Sunset scheduled for 1924 hours.

Adjacent to Henslow Trail, near Iron Bridge Trailhead, Iron Bridge Prairie Restoration, Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (U.S. Forest Service). Early for peak migration
