Cluster 1: 15 monarchs, five meters above ground.
Cluster 2: 18 monarchs, six meters above ground.
Cluster 3: 18 monarchs, ten meters above ground.
Additional 10 monarchs in groups of 1 – 2.
More monarchs were flying around tree exploring, searching for a place to roost.

64 degrees F (17.78 C). No wind during observation, but forecast at 6 mph from the southwest. RH 54%. Sunny, but sun going down on horizon.

Adjacent to Henslow Trail, near Iron Bridge Trailhead, Iron Bridge Prairie Restoration, Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (U.S. Forest Service).
