A ruby-throated hummingbird leaves and another shows up. The young adult/immature male decided to keep going south today. Had hoped he would stay longer. But a new adult female showed up today to go with the other female, immature male, and a juvenile. It's hard to keep track as some hummers streak in from yards two or three houses away and getting chased away the same distance. They're really nectaring up on all the flowers; black-and-blue salvias, lantana, cigar, purple agastache, orange agastache and hot lips salvia. Lots of hide and seek among the flowers. Day was a very sunny and warm 81°. Cut off for feeding this evening was 7:32 p.m. cdt.
