50 monarchs observed in clusters on west side of an eastern black walnut (Juglans nigra) after sunset. Not much movement in the clusters. After sundown and getting dark. Almost no movement except occasional movement of wings. Some monarchs continued to arrive and would provoke movement in the clusters.

76 degrees F (24.44 C). Sun has set. Light winds at 7 mph with gusts up to 13 mph from the east/northeast, RH 65%, Dew Point 63. Sun set 1901.

On Henslow Trail near at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (U.S. Forest Service).
