The females gathering on our deck where there is both a nectar feeder and plants to draw sweetness from, are by my best estimate, 4-6 individuals. Two of the females are small, like a first year. One of them is my friendly older female who likes to come right up near my face, Hanover and then return, and seems to respond to my talking to her. She did this today, but soon she’ll do one last fly by.
