At Liberty State Park in a flowerbed near the entrance to the park office on I observed monarch eggs on several plants. The eggs were on the leaves of common milkweed which had not died back & was still green and small newer plants were also growing. The majority of the eggs were on the underside of the leaves. However, I observed one very small plant with an egg laid on the top side of the leaf and another plant (also on the smaller side) with eggs on the undersides of most of the leaves, some having more than one egg per leaf.
