Only 3 Monarchs in this photo but there were 4 individuals nectaring on my zinnias and occasionally cosmos and tithonia. I watched them for a half hour or more and had 4 almost the whole time in my 15' x 30' garden plot, about half of which is currently blooming flowers.

This was a warm sunny early fall day. Yesterday I reported one brief visit from a Monarch. Before that it had been 3 weeks since I saw a Monarch in my garden.
