Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/21/2025

Number: 4

Had 4 ruby-throated hummingbirds squabbling around the flowers mid-morning. Red/orange lantana has become a go-to flower the last couple days as well as the usual nectaring at black-and-blue salvias and cigar flowers. Glad to see a hummer perching on the feeder hooks frequently again. I'd like to think this female has visited our yard in previous seasons. Didn't watch the rthb's for long so not certain if we're down two from six seen during past week. Rainstorm came in so couldn't get a feeding cutoff time.
