Here's looking at you, kid. This ruby-throated hummer loves sitting on the flower cage rung. It perched there for minutes on end in between nectaring at black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers, purple agastache, pink & yellow lantana, and orange-red lantana. One of the 2 hummers made a long visit to a purple salvia and pink-white verbena. And lots of insect catching. Hardly any nectaring at feeders. Looks like we're down to our last two ruby-throats. Even so the 2 managed many squabbles. Feeding cutoff this evening was 7:13 p.m. cdt.
