The same area where I found a roost site on 9/21, contained an estimated 300 monarchs on 9/26 at 7 p.m. The largest clump was on the small cedar, just as before. They were also roosting in two large cottonwoods, with a few scattered on other trees in the tree row. They were on the north side of the cedar, again on the south side of the outlet canal that had about 4 inches of water in it. Calm conditions with temp. 81 F.
