I was in this 15acre habit for 5 minutes when this monarch flew overhead. I was seed gathering and did not have my tagging equipment with me. Hope he finds some friends to migrate with.

I did not enter farther into the habitat and was only there for 15 minutes. And I wasn’t dressed appropriately to continue looking for monarchs, maybe he already has a friend or two there to migrate with and I didn’t see them.

Beautiful Fall day, in the 70s late afternoon. The milkweed was dying, lots of Russian Olives and sunflowers. Joe Pye was probably gone but I didn’t get that far.
