Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2025

Number: 2

2 ruby-throated hummers still hanging around, an adult female and a juvenile. As yesterday, I think they are ranging farther away from our yard for insects or perching in trees in other yards for longer times. Nectaring was at black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers, purple agastache, and red-orange lantana. And they nectared more at feeders today. The adult female mostly nectared at flowers and feeder in the front yard. The juvenile was pretty much only at flowers and feeder in the backyard. Didn't see any squabbling. They did overlap some yesterday but no fights. Saw the juvenile last at 7:06 p.m. cdt.
