This day marks the only day without a hummingbird since spring of this year. It's always sad to see them go, But at the same time, I just made 2 quarts of fresh nectar so that our feeder is available to little visiting travelers through October 8. Vaya con Dios, little ones - fly safely and free. God willing, I will be here when you return next spring. To my fellow birders who appreciate these brave little sparks of life, may you all have a peaceful winter and spring. -- Pastor Pat
