2 ruby-throated hummingbirds are in this picture. One is near upper left corner and the other is a little below center near the right side (looks like a blob in the branches, if you expand picture white wing patch
and sliver of throat can be seen.). I have to think there are more in the neighborhood. The hummers were busy nectaring at black-and-blue salvias and cigar flowers. Some nectaring at feeders. One of them put on a spectacular aerobatic show high over the yard catching multiple insects. Got my wish for an October sighting. Last hummer observed was at 6:49 p.m. cdt but I'm virtually certain that was not the feeding cutoff.
