9 AM, 6 monarch butterflies were resting on the hackberry, grapevines, trumpet vines, and other vegetation on the south fence line. The temperature was in the low 60's. They remained until 10:30 when I stopped observing.
At 1 PM, I observed 6 monarch butterflies resting in the same corner of the yard. I can't say whether they were the same ones.
At 7 PM there was 1 monarch in this 25 foot wide area.
Sunday 9 AM, no monarchs on this bramble patch.
