Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/11/2025

Number: 0

After 2-1/2 days of no sightings, I have to conclude that Buzzy, last seen on 10/8 around 4:30, has headed South, along with Pretty Girl and their shyer companion. They may have decided to get out of Dodge before the predicted nor’easter hits us tomorrow.

He was looking very well fed, and I hope for his sake and for all the other migrating hummingbirds that everyone will keep their feeders up and replenished at least until the end of this month. We keep ours up until after Thanksgiving for any latecomers. We still have flowers, too, for passers by, and I hope we’ll catch glimpses of any who happen to stop here.

We had an amazing hummingbird season this year, and we can’t wait to see them all again next Spring. Be safe, little friends!
