Now that I am down to my last 2 Chrysalis I wanted to report my summer findings/ raising since August 22, 2025. From Aug 22 - Oct 11 I have successfully raised and released 295 Monarchs. It all started on August 22 when I saw a female laying eggs on my milkweed. I collected over 65 eggs that day and more the following days. I started with counting the eggs. As the Caterpillars started to hatch and grow I was going into my yard to bring in fresh milkweed, I was finding more eggs and newly hatched Caterpillars. I started counting the Caterpillars but was losing track. I decided it would be best to just count the successful releases. My cages became too full to take all the Caterpillars in, I had to leave my other findings on the outdoor milkweed. It was so much fun finding their hiding spots when they went into Chrysalis. I was also able to keep an eye on them. The end results was 295 plus what I may have missed outside. It was a good year for Atlanta Monarch.
