Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/17/2025

Number: 16

Partly cloudy, 69 degrees, humidity 62%, SSW winds at 5-7, 8:45am.

To my surprise this morning we have 16 monarches feeding intensively on the Mexican Sunflower. Guessing they were roosting close by last night.

Today I suspect will be the last time we will have these types of numbers for the remainder of the season, as a strong cold front is due to arrive tomorrow late afternoon/ evening with guests NW winds of 30-35 mph, and low temps forecasted to be in the 47-45 range overnight Sunday. It’s been a successful migration season. Safe & Healthy travels!!!!
