Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/17/2025

Number: 13

Counted 13+ Monarchs on 3 4 patches of Cowpen daisies and Greeg's Mistflower and 1 blue Salvia. No wind, 82° and sunny. The were all nectaring, flitting to a new spot occasionally. Also saw a Fritillary, a Cabbage White, Queens, some Small species butterflies, and bees.
I sat and counted about an hour before sunset at 6:50 or so.
These last few days I have counted more Monarchs than any other fall count. Exciting!
A friend across town has just as many, at least 20 monarchs daily.
