in twilight as sunset 16 Oct. I noticed that a pupa on Lonicera (honeysuckle) was now mostly black with some orange on it.

At 06:00 EDT I use a combination of an external backyard illuminator and a small photographic electronic flash of short duration and a small flashlight to to locate a snall female adult with soft wings landing in a Cotinus (Smoke Tree) within the same yard confinement are.

this was the last pupa whose location I knew the location of s far this season.
