Reported by Don Davis: During three hours of observation, from 12 pm to 3 pm on October 18th, and during unusually warm sunny weather, 8 monarchs were counted at the Hawk Cliff Hawk Watch on the north shore of Lake Erie. "Winds SE to start switching to SW to then finally to WSW. Heavy cloud then thinning with small patches of blue. Temp started at 13C
and hit 16C (60.8 F) by the end of the count period."
