On a beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 70's and a Southwest wind I spotted over 150 monarchs between 4 pm and 6:30 pm. Some monarchs were feeding on golden rod and the majority were canvassing the pine trees looking to roost for the night. This is the most I have seen so far, very disappointing migration to date.
