Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 10/17/2025

Number: 20

There was a grouping of many different species of trees that the neighborhood nearby clearly supplies children with a place to hang out and leave a bunch of junk. Watch your feet if you check with tree again.

They were all over the Northern Hackberry tree. I visited at different time each day. Monday 13 2025 I first discovered the location had several monarch butterflies but I had not discovered the roost core yet. During the day on the 14th the butterflies would encircle the area with activity and it was amazing. It felt like a fairytale.

First time I have found a roost without looking it up here. Wooh!
