For the second day this week, I watched Monarchs feeding and flying through Sunshine Community Gardens in north central Austin. I was there for about an hour just as the north winds were beginning to blow in. Some Monarchs zipped by heading due south and others found places protected from the winds to feed on Mexican Flame Vine, Blue Mistflower, Coral Vine, Cosmos and Cowpen Daisies. I saw more Monarchs today than any previous day this month.
