While fishing canals located on the NW corner of Lake Cataouatche, I observed several dozen (3-5 dozen) monarchs sitting/fluttering on the willows that overhung the canals. I believe these monarchs were using the willows as resting areas (no flowers on the trees). The map provided does not provide enough detail and does not show the ~7 Canals where the Davis Pond Diversion empties into Lake Cataouatche.
