I was mowing in my front yard when I spotted a beautiful adult Monarch butterfly flying overhead. The butterfly looked weary and tried to use the faint breeze to float itself along. Sadly, most of my flowers are done and the poor little butterfly was unable to stop for a spell. It was a beautiful sight to see though. I have not seen one since we moved here into our home in 2008. I planted 4 butterfly weeds this fall so hopefully next season we will see more but it was a positive sight!
