We drove to Smith Park in southern Miller County Arkansas November 4th to see if any monarchs were still around. We were surprised to find Bur Marigolds in several places along the edge of the pond there. On the 4th we counted 49 monarchs feeding on the cluster of flowers we could see closest to the road. We went back on November 6 and counted 70 more. We know there were many more but we could not get close enough to the flowers in other parts around the lake to count them.
