We had freezing overnight temps on Nov 9 and Nov 10. It got down to 29 degrees F. All of the milkweed (Asclepias viridis) in the fields and meadows was freeze-damaged. The milkweed had already been struggling due to the drought and the season, but this really did them in. Most of them were in the seed pod stage. This photo shows a typical example.
