We planted Fosteriana Tulips Easter Parade(the company was out of Red Emperor Tulips, which were requested) on January 8, 1997. The weather is rainy and there is an expected chance of a wintery mix. The soil was moist and compact. The gardening tools had a hard time manuvering into the ground. The tulips were planted seven inches deep in a mixture of planting soil, Georgia red clay, and sand. Pine straw was sprinkled on top.
