All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 02/26/1997

Number: 1

We know that Daffodils are not Tulips, but we think we have some very early sitings of blooming daffodils. We have a brick school building with a Daffodil bed on the south side. The entire bed is in full bloom as opf Feb. 26, 1997. This siting and the report was done by a second grader at Smith Valley School, Wellington, Nv. Her name is Clarissa. We have about sixty students participating in Spring tracking at Smith Valley Elementary School. Can we report our rural signs of spring such as lambs, calves, sprouting garlic and onion, and greening alfalfa fields? Please let us know at our email address. Thank you. T.Butler
