our tulips just opened the day before yesterday! (We were on an all day field trip and had checked the day before and knew they would be blooming imminently.) Your definition of fully bloomed was that the center was showing, right? Well, we have two who fit that description. Those students whose tulips haven't bloomed yet are anxiously awaiting for color to show. Many have been vying for the opportunity to go out and log the information. They are so surprised that there are so many different colors. And...the one thing that surprised us was that while the tulips closest to the chain link fence popped up out of the ground first and even budded first, the first to open completely were those against the wall which are partially shaded at times! We were proven wrong! We will go tomorrow and check them again. Thanks for your email. Sincerely, Bonnie Mc Nealy Indian Creek School Placerville, CA
