Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/02/1997

Number: 1

Students were anxious to see their tulips bloom after they planted them in late September. Every week they would go outside and check for signs of tulips. They didn't see anything until the middle of March when the tulips popped out of the ground. Then on April 2, the tulips bloomed! Planted near a cluster of trees, the tulips got the sufficient amount of sunlight. There wer lots of rainy days too, so they got the amount of water they needed. The tulips have thick, healthy looking stems and long, green leaves. The bright red petals are big and beautiful. Erin Freund Grade 6 North Dover School Toms River, NJ
