Loon Watch
Johnson Lake (Burnett County) is opening up now. Started yesterday and today there is mostly open water. I noticed the first loon to return yesterday. The loon was still here today, so maybe it is the resident. However as in my report last fall, one of the resident loons was killed by a pontoon boat. I hope we will have a pair this year, and will keep you informed. Mel Paulson
