Dear Journey North, We observed our tulips emerging on March 19, 1997. We were in the middle of Proficiency Testing in Ohio. Then we had Spring Break. Sorry we're late reporting. We have 17 tulips emerging from the ground, but as of today, they still haven't bloomed. It has been very cold in Ohio over the last two weeks. It has gotten below freezing several times. Several of the students have tulips blooming at home, but they're not Red Emperor Tulips. Why do you think they're not blooming here at school? We're also trying to force some to grow inside as well.
