I assume that the tulips opened on 4/19/97 because when I was there the morning of the 20th, there they wer! Am sorry to say that while some were absolutely gorgeous, others were misshapen and a weird red/green color. Our weather has been downright cold here and the poor tulips should have been wearing winter coats!
