On 19 April 1997 Lincoln Brower and Linda Fink spotted a female in an oviposition flight mode (no milkweeds seen in vicinity ) flying along a dirt road on Cat Rock Mountain, Nelson County, Virginia, around 3:30PM, altitude about 1400 feet. The weather was clear and cool with occassional wind gusts.
