The past several years there have been a nesting pair of Bald Eagles near Mercer Spring Creek and its confluence with the Nenana River. They're back! Saturday one eagle was spotted soaring above the creek and adjacent beaver ponds in the area. It is not known whether this is one half of the resident nesting pair, however.
