No emergence of tulips. Dug down and found no evidence of any of the ~85 bulbs that were planted. Suspect moles used the area for winter feeding spot. Will try again next year. Could a less expensive, easier to find bulb than RED EMPEROR be substituted? Mid season Darwin type perhaps?
