Today, the ice went out on the Kuskokwim River at the town of McGrath Alaska. "Break up marks the official end of Winter and the swith over from snowmobiles (locally called snowmachines) to boats. It's hard to hold school on breakup day. The kids always want to go down and watch the ice.
