At about 3:00 this afternoon, Wednesday, May 7th, 1997, I took a break to munch on a sandwich on my porch and suddenly noticed a streak of orange zoom past a window to an orange half hanging on a nearby feeder. (I'm still waiting for the return of my Ruby-Throated Hummingbird!) What a pleasant day dispite the rain late this afternoon!! Here are my previous "1st sightings" (at the same location): 8 May 1993- 3 males and 2 females (Northern Orioles) 8 May 1995- 2 males and 1 female (Northern Orioles) A special "hello" to Carrol H. from the Bluebird Lady from Wisconsin!!
