I heard the loons on Drag Lake in the Haliburton Highlands about11pm on May2. The next day we saw two single loons on the lake. The ice had just broken up mid-week, so the loons were probably in a nearby lake, waiting for the ice to break up. We have not seen any pairs of loons yet.
